Hello from Tucson!

Hello from Tucson!

After a week of being sick, I was thrilled that I got better just in time to leave for vacation. I am here in Tucson with my parents… gotta go on these family vacations while they still offer for me to come! I’ve never been to Arizona before, but it is safe to say that so far, I LOVE TUCSON!

Starting at the beginning, I stayed at a hotel in Richmond Friday night so that I could get up early enough for my five forty am flight. My alarm went off at 345 am…ugh! But I got on my flight and promptly napped. I connected through Philly, so I was then on the same flight as my parents, which went from Philly to Houston, and then another flight from Houston to Tucson. Needless to say, I went to bed early last night!

We had pretty awesome views on the flight from Houston to Tucson.

We arrived to beautiful weather and even more beautiful scenery!

We rented a car, and I sweet-talked our way into getting a mustang convertible! I have always wanted to ride around in a convertible on vacation, and there was one right out front of the rental place with the trunk open, so it really just looked like it was waiting for us. First I talked the rental guy into letting us take it, and then I had to talk my parents into it. WORTH IT. We have been loving having it here. It’s so “not us” which is fun for vacation (probably not real life, though.)

Our first stop was the amazing Frost Gelato, probably the best gelato I have ever had. So so good.

Second, our hotel to check in to our room with amazing views. I took a series of pictures of the sunset and am going to make a time lapse video of it… Will share with you when I get home!

Third, Costco and target. Yup, we came all the way to Tucson and went there. We got wine at Costco and I forgot shorts and a bathing suit, so I got those at target.

Last, we went to Jax Kitchen for dinner. Delicious deviled egg and duck taco appetizers! My entree, crispy salmon with butternut squash risotto, was my favorite. Yum!

We also had a great day today, which I will tell you about later!
